I do love the rain and rain on the lake is a double treat.
I love how the water moves underneath the pelting of the rain. I love
how it rains on the lake but not on the shore.
You may or may not know that I started blogging over 10 years ago when I won a contest called Weigh Into Win. It was sponsored by our local CBS station, WTOL , the YMCA , and Mercy Weight Mgt. I had a personal trainer, a food plan, and was a local 'celebrity' as the community watch my progress on TV and read my blog. I did well on the program, reaching my goal weight of around 150 pounds. I was 46 at that time and maintained that weight until I turned 50. At 56, I am beginning another serious weight loss journey. I am fifty pounds overweight. Lord knows that I have cried a thousand times. I would tear up when someone would win on the Price is Right. Or during a great show where others shared their musical and dancing talents with me. I would cry for my children when they were hurting. The pain of shingles brought me to tears. I cried for my mom when she couldn't sing anymore. I wailed for my sister Barb, taken from us too soon. Dear Haylee, It's been a long day. It's one of those days where I can't believe that you're not here. It feels surreal. You never know when grief will step up it's game. On the way to work, the triggers were there - I was behind a black Ford Focus, then it turned and a silver one took it's place. While at work, I couldn't get you off my mind. I wanted to call or send a text. On my way home from work, I must have seen three white Pontiac Vibes like the one you had. I miss you. Love, Mom
