Anticipation

Whether it's advent or anticipation, waiting for Christmas is not always easy.  According to my Merriam Webster, anticipation is a feeling of excitement about something that is going to happen or the act of preparing for something.  As gifts are emphasized during this times, anticipation is high.  

Children have trouble with the patience part of the art of anticipation..  Whether they are on the giving or receiving end of gift giving, that want to either tell you what they will give you or they want to know what you are giving them.
The gift is the anticipation.

It has been five days.  The grieving process has begun for myself and many around me.  It's a  beast this thing called grief.  It attaches to or attacks each of us differently.  When my mother lost my sister Barb, she named her grief George.  I think I too will have a name for my grief.  I've been thinking about Clarence.  I always loved the character Clarence Odbody.    He was only doing what was right and tried to have a little fun along the way.  He kept things simple.  I like simple.  I won't mind if Clarence hangs around awhile. Responsible

Responsible: having an obligation to do something, or having control over or care for someone, as part of one's job or role. I am responsible for many things whether I am at work or at home.  I don't always like it.  Sometimes, I do not want to be responsible.  I want to slack off or not care or just be the opposite of responsible.

Vaccine Day!

Today I was able to get my 1st dose of the Pfizer - Covid 19 vaccine. Our county vaccinated 8,000 teachers in two days! It was very well run. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes including the 15 minute wait afterwards. It's been about five hours since and my arm is a bit sore now. I can't remember the last time I got a vaccine. Probably a tetnus shot. --- Those really hurt. Anyway, I'm glad to do my part to get this pandemic under control. As I look at my calorie tracker for the day: 1750 calories food and 59 oz. water.
