Movie Night

It's family movie night at our house.  We just finished watching Earth to ECHO, a movie none of us had seen before. I liked it.  It was Sandlotish...about a group of childhood friends, solving a problem and becoming better friends because of it.  It also reminded me of the Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind, Flight of the Navigator, or  ET as the plot envolved children and space creatures or aliens.

Next up is Big Hero 6 which we saw in the movie theatre and I wrote about in November.  I hope I can stay awake til the end. After that, they may watch The Book of Life but I'm sure I'll be asleep by then.  I love movie nightA

It has been five days.  The grieving process has begun for myself and many around me.  It's a  beast this thing called grief.  It attaches to or attacks each of us differently.  When my mother lost my sister Barb, she named her grief George.  I think I too will have a name for my grief.  I've been thinking about Clarence.  I always loved the character Clarence Odbody.    He was only doing what was right and tried to have a little fun along the way.  He kept things simple.  I like simple.  I won't mind if Clarence hangs around awhile. Responsible

Responsible: having an obligation to do something, or having control over or care for someone, as part of one's job or role. I am responsible for many things whether I am at work or at home.  I don't always like it.  Sometimes, I do not want to be responsible.  I want to slack off or not care or just be the opposite of responsible.

Vaccine Day!

Today I was able to get my 1st dose of the Pfizer - Covid 19 vaccine. Our county vaccinated 8,000 teachers in two days! It was very well run. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes including the 15 minute wait afterwards. It's been about five hours since and my arm is a bit sore now. I can't remember the last time I got a vaccine. Probably a tetnus shot. --- Those really hurt. Anyway, I'm glad to do my part to get this pandemic under control. As I look at my calorie tracker for the day: 1750 calories food and 59 oz. water.
